Hello! My name is Jeff Sornig.
I am a U.S. Marine veteran with 23 years of world-wide service. I'm also an illustrator/cartoonist who is a Michigan native.
I am a lifelong comic strip lover, avid watcher of all manner of animated shows for TV and feature presentation, and I love collecting vinyl records.
Education
I earned two A.A.S. degrees in 2019 from Macomb Community College located in Warren, Michigan.
- Creative Imaging and Illustration
- Motion Design/After Effects
I am a Phi Theta Kappa member and graduated both of these programs with honors (Summa Cum Laude).
Experience
I interned with Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, California as a TV Animation Production Assistant from February to May 2016 and remained on staff full-time continuously as a P.A. from June 2016 until January 2018.
I had the pleasure of being part of the production crew for 3 wonderful shows during my time at Nick; Pig Goat Banana Cricket, Pinky Malinky, and the Rocko's Modern Life special.
In addition to my P.A. duties, I also contributed to Nickelodeon artistically volunteering numerous personal hours drawing at Los Angeles area schools and charity events.
As of January 2022 - I'm proud to rejoin my Nick Animation family working in our Studio Learning & Engagement Team where we provide educational experiences for our Nick & Paramount Animation Studio personnel.
